Thank you for purchasing PROBE

We’re a small team of engineers, designers, fishing enthusiasts... and that other guy. We've spent about five years developing the product you're holding, and we truly hope you will enjoy it. Below you'll find all the necessary information to get started: safety instructions and the manual. If you’re not a fan of manuals, we ask you to make an exception this time—please read it to ensure proper and safe use.

Both the firmware and app are constantly evolving, with new features and bug fixes on the way to enhance your experience so please make sure you always use the latest software version. Thank you for joining our journey. The future holds exciting things, and we can’t wait to share them with you. But first…

safety information:

WARNING: Before using PROBE, please read the entire manual to ensure proper and safe use.

CHOKING HAZARD: Always keep PROBE away from children, as they might mistake it for candy.

DO NOT DISSEMBLE: Do not attempt to disassemble PROBE, throw it into fire, or insert sharp objects into its casing.

AVOID INSERTING OBJECTS: PROBE does not have buttons. The tiny hole for the depth sensor is not a button, so do not insert objects into it.

STORE PROPERLY: Do not store PROBE in direct sunlight, extreme heat, or freezing environments.

CLEANING: After each use, rinse PROBE thoroughly with fresh tap water. Do not use sharp objects or chemicals to clean it—PROBE only likes water. Do not clean the device under high pressure of water or air, as it may damage the depth sensor.

INTENDENT USE ONLY: PROBE is designed solely for fishing. We know it might be tempting to use it for other purposes, but please don’t.

Getting started

Before we start:
It's important to know that PROBE has no buttons.

The small hole in the center houses sensitive sensors – never insert sharp objects into it, as this may cause damage

PARING:

  1. Download the app - iPhone / Android

  2. Charge your PROBE using the included USB-C / magnetic charging cable. Let it charge for at least one hour before pairing.

  3. Disconnect the charger.
Tap "ADD PROBE" (at the bottom of this view).
It may take up to 20 seconds for your PROBE to appear in the app the first time.
When it shows up, tap "CONNECT".
If your PROBE has gone to sleep, you can wake it by knocking on it or giving it a few firm taps.

PROBE LIGHT INDICATORS

  • Blinking blue: PROBE is Disconnected (visible to app)

  • Blinking green: PROBE is Connected to app

  • Slow blinking yellow: PROBE is in Stand-by - Knock PROBE once (on a hard surface) to wake up

  • No light: PROBE is in DeepSleep. Knock once to wake up (may take up to 10 secs)

  • Still no light? It probably needs to be charged.

HOW TO USE PROBE

  1. Charge your PR0BE using the provided USB-C cable for at least an hour

  2. PROBE doesn't have any buttons — not even an on/off switch. When removed from its charger, it will stay on until the battery runs out (<24h). We recommend charging it before each use.

  3. Use float stoppers to fixate PR0BE in front of lure / behind the leader. The thicker part facing you and the slim part toward your lure.

HOW TO CLEAN PROBE

After each use, rinse PROBE with fresh tap water to keep it in optimal condition and prevent sensor distortion.

Rinsing all your fishing gear is important to stop the spread of harmful fungi, diseases, and invasive species. Fishing gear can carry tiny organisms that hurt fish and damage the environment. By washing your gear with fresh water, you help keep lakes, rivers, and fish healthy. This simple step protects nature and makes sure fishing stays enjoyable for everyone in the future.
